2025 – Year in Review
As we wrap up the year and bring to you our last monthly update for 2025, The SABSA Institute wishes to thank you for an amazing year as we reflect on the highlights, accomplishments, and fantastic achievements of 2025.
We now have SABSA Chartered Architects in 84 countries worldwide – including Vietnam, Cameroon and Kazakhstan. The SABSA Institute Testing Board was established this year. We joined The Open Group ArchiMate Forum and presented at The Open Group Summit in Amsterdam. We organised SABSA World events in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Belgium and London; a SABSA Study Group in central London; and kick-started the awesome SABSA World UK 2025 Series.
Our Accredited Education Partners trained nearly 600 and certified over 400 security architects all over the world this year. We are proud to have represented SABSA at COSAC, COSAC APAC, and the AISA CyberCon Melbourne conference.
We launched our SABSA Digital Credentials program with Credly, hosted webinars by industry expert speakers, and articulated our SABSA Certified Practitioner Exam and Thesis Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy.
We awarded our first ever The SABSA Institute John R. Sherwood Award to Jelmer Vorstenburg, our highest scoring SABSA Foundation candidate of the year from the Netherlands, in honour and cherished memory of the late SABSA Author and TSI Founder John Sherwood; and qualified our first ever female SABSA Master Heather Wildgrove in Canada with SCM certification.
All in all it has been a wonderful year for The SABSA Institute, and all of this wouldn’t have been made possible without you – the global SABSA community – who believe strongly in our mission and what we stand for, and loyally and dedicatedly support us from all around the world.
